Now I’ve actually got eyebrows again, I want to stretch out my visits to Blink Bar to prolong the agony of threading and avoid the misery of them looking too dark if the therapist doesn’t whip the dye off fast enough ie 2 seconds after application.
Wunderbrow is one of those cult beauty products I had no interest previously but the reviews are overwhelmingly positive, so I thought I’d give it a go as my eyebrow tint starts to fade.
WUNDERBROW EXTRA LONG-LASTING EYEBROW GEL
Wunderbrow formula contains an exclusive blend of hair-like fibres, combined with specially treated pigments designed to fasten onto skin and hair.
This Hair Fibre Complex is then infused into a Permafix Gel that creates a flexible matrix, locking the natural colour and fibres onto your brows.
If you’re the slightest bit heavy-handed when applying eyebrow products then step away from this now, it’s intense!
At the end of the application wand is the clunkiest, thick flat brush. If you’re looking for Groucho Marx brows (look him up young ones), then apply straight from the wand, everyone else, either brush the product onto the mascara spoolie supplied (foolproof) or use a flat angled brush to paint on hairs individually – something I couldn’t master in a million years.
LONGEVITY
It’s not so much that it ‘lasts for days’ but rather, it doesn’t come off.
COLOURS
There are five shades to choose from:
- Blonde
- Brunette
- Auburn
- Black/Brown
- Jet Black
I chose shade Blonde, it’s a perfect light brown taupe and looks very natural.
Don’t quote me, but surely you could use this to disguise thinning patches of hair along the hairline? It really is waterproof, so you won’t have to worry about sweat making it run. You need a decent cleanser to remove it, a little gentle exfoliation cream would hurt either.
The product is thick, but not at all fibrous as you might expect. You can feel the product on your eyebrows if you touch them – so don’t touch them!
The deceptive tube only holds 3g of product (about half the amount of conventional mascara) and expires 6 months after opening, personally, it would easily last that long.
