The Great Lengths kit was £203.00 and is now £162.00 MONPURE *
If you’re after thicker, longer, swish-worthy hair, we’ve put together several fantastic products among our range that can seriously deliver. Used together in this regime, their effects will be even more evident in a shorter amount of time.
Clarifying Scalp Scrub
Use as a pre-shampoo exfoliator. Dampen hair and apply a small amount of the scrub across different sections of the scalp, Gently massage in small circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and follow with the Strengthening Silk Protein Shampoo
Strengthening Silk Protein Shampoo
Using a walnut-sized amount, massage into the scalp and hair. Rinse thoroughly, then repeat. Follow up with our Strengthening Essence-Conditioner
Strengthening Essence Conditioner
Use after cleansing with our Strengthening Silk Protein Shampoo. Use a walnut-size amount (longer hair may need slightly more) and gently massage into the scalp and hair. Leave in for two minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water for extra shine.
Follicle Boost Density Serum
Apply to a clean, dry, or towel-dried scalp. Part hairline in five or more sections from front to back. Using the dropper, apply just two or three drops per section – a little goes a long way! Massage in. Do not rinse. Use once per day and increase the frequency if needed.
My review (and a few photos) of all the above products – apart from the Follicle Boost Density Serum – I didn’t need it, my hair grows very fast, is here. I reviewed the Hydrate and Soothe Scalp Serum instead to prepare my hair for all the highlighting I was going to put it through after lockdown and I’ve had it highlighted a lot since as my hair is coming through very grey at the roots and grey hair is horribly coarse.
Fortunately, I haven’t destroyed it, my hair is still smooth and I credit that with looking after it pre-marathon highlighting sessions. I only use Monpure (I had to repurchase myself) once a month now – but, only the scalp scrub and minty scalp mask.
They’re not on offer as standalone products but bundled together with the scalp serum for £131.00 instead of £167.00. MONPURE *
Scalp care is vital for healthy hair growth, but if the Monpure products are a bit too rich pricewise for your liking then the Umberto Giannini Grow Scrub Scalp Scrub £9.95 Boots * is a good alternative, though the fragrance is on the cloying side and it’s not as user friendly as Monpure. I bought it as a backup (the Monpure jar is under 100 grams). I have loads left, but if you just want to get rid of product build-up on your hair – which really will improve the condition then it’s absolutely fine. I’m still looking for a cheaper peppermint scalp mask, but still haven’t found one half as good as the bank busting Monpure one.
Here’s a review on the Boots website and I couldn’t have said it better myself.
I have used this a number of times now, once a week and have noticed the difference it makes on my hair. I no longer have any build-up of products on my scalp and it feels super fresh.
Most important point: Make sure you put this on your hair and massage for a number of minutes for this to work effectively.
The first time I used this I plonked it on my hair and thought why is it all lumpy and gritty like semolina! I used fingertips to work the product through to the scalp and then added a bit more water to get the right consistency but kept the gritty feeling.
It takes persistent massaging and not too much of product otherwise after all the massaging you will be left with a head full of foam! I have long hair and use about a ping pong ball size grab of this. Will last for months. Very pleased with this product.
