REVIEW: BeautyPro EYE THERAPY Collagen Under Eye Masks

BeautyPro EYE THERAPY Collagen Under Eye Masks

I finally had a chance to try the BeautyPro Eye Therapy Collagen Under Eye Mask with Green Tea Extract under-eye masks last week and I’m suitably impressed. I love it when you buy something without any expectations and it exceeds them.

An intense soothing and cooling treatment for the under eyes, BeautyPro Eye Therapy will reduce puffiness and treat tired, swollen eyes whilst diminishing the signs of fine lines and wrinkles.

These patches are enriched with anti-ageing collagen, combined with Green Tea, Aloe Vera and Vitamins A & E.

The Hydrogel patches are formulated with collagen and are also certified by PETA. Combined with key vitamins, herbs and botanicals, this under-eye treatment will improve elasticity and tone, leaving you and your under eyes feeling deeply relaxed in just 20 minutes.

HOW TO USE

  • Gently cleanse the under-eye area, remove masks from packaging, peel off patch from the clear sheet, apply under the eye and wear for 15-20 minutes.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Marine Collagen, Green Tea Extract, Aloe Vera, Vitamin-A, Vitamin-E, Citrus Extracts.

REVIEW

This brand is new to me, although I do recall seeing the BeautyPro face masks on sale. I’m awash with eye and face masks at the moment, I’m currently using up all my 111Skin ones, so I didn’t take too much notice of them at the time.

I bought a few sachets because they were on offer at Look Fantastic for £3.71 for three pairs (still expensive though) and I thought they’d be convenient for travelling.**

They’re a longer, thinner shape than my usual Petitfee Gold Hydrogel Eye Patches, this is a plus because they fit very snugly right up to my lower eyelid, which was my only complaint about the Petitfee eye masks.

The side that adheres to the skin is a hydrogel and the other is a soft, thin fabric. They have a gorgeous, fresh fragrance – like a green tea version of my favourite summer scent, Clarins Eau Ressourcante Treatment Spray (bottle it and I’ll buy it BeautyPro).

They stick very firmly to the skin, so much so that I thought, these are going to be tricky to peel off and I bet that’s why they’re reduced. I couldn’t be more wrong. Sure, they don’t budge and feel like they’ve been superglued on, but they peel off easily without any pulling on the delicate under-eye skin.

The masks didn’t feel particularly cool when I applied them, but the eye area felt cooler to the touch afterwards. My under-eye area was instantly smoother and noticeably brighter-looking. You can actually see where the masks were applied as the skin is so smooth, green tea – you miracle worker.

These are ‘dry’ eye masks ie there’s no leftover essence, no serum to pat in, but again that’s a bonus, it means you can apply eye cream, concealer, foundation etc immediately to silky unwrinkled skin.

As off-putting as the price is – £1.65 for one pair, I think they’re worth it for very special occasions and we should be back to having those soon. They’re an indulgent ‘pick-me-up’ but they do work instantly so the price is forgiven.

SHOPPING INFO

Look Fantastic seems to always have these on offer. They were £3.96 * for a while and have only just sold out. It’s worth keeping an eye on the site for the price to drop again.

I’m going to look at some of the other BeautyPro masks – not the ‘Black Peel’ one though, I’m not a sadist.
