After you’ve slapped on your foundation, apply a generous layer of Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion (not the gel which is horrible) I’m talking about a really thick amount on your lips and just outside your natural lip line. Sure, it’s going to look strange, but I’m going to assume nobody’s watching you.
Apply the rest of your make up as usual, leave the lips to do last. As you’re making up you’ll notice that the lotion is sinking into your lips. I’ve used other, cheaper moisturisers, but they don’t seem to do the job half as well.
When you’re ready to do your lips, get a piece of tissue (or the dampened edge of a clean flannel) and vigorously off moisturiser off. Your lips will not only be moisturised and plumped up (only temporary though, boo!) and pink, but those dastardly age revealing vertical lines above your top lip will be filled out which means your lipstick will go on more smoothly.
