MeMeMe Cosmetics: Eye Inspire Catwalk Quad Collection – Fire Eyes

MeMeMe Cosmetics Eyeshadow Fire Eyes

I was very kindly sent some make up items to review, actually, the best-selling ‘hero products’ by the PR company who represent MeMeMe Cosmetics. I was a little pouty ungrateful when I looked at one of the products, the Eye Inspire Baked Eyeshadow Quad in shade Fire Eyes, because I knew immediately that the shades were *deep breath* TOO YOUNG FOR ME!

I’m sure a professional make up artist would prove me wrong, but I know for a fact, I just wouldn’t be able to carry off, or do justice to these bright, shimmery colours.

I was intrigued by the ‘baked’ part though. I didn’t know that it meant they really are put in the sun during the manufacturing process to allow the pigments to set. One of the benefits of a baked eyeshadow is that when applied wet, as eyeshadow or eyeliner, the colours intensify and look more vibrant.

As I’m going to pass this palette to a friend, I didn’t want to open it, but I did want to see a swatch. I did a quick search online and I found a Dutch blog, Miss Lipgloss run by a stunning young woman called Cynthia (I bet she’s famous in the Netherlands, but she’s new to me).

Check out Cynthia’s in-depth review of the Eye Inspire Eyeshadow Collection, (use Google Translate if you want to read it, but I think the photos speak for themselves) and drool over the swatches and eye make up looks. I feel slightly vindicated looking at Cynthia’s eye make up though, because I certainly wouldn’t be able to pull off the Fire Eyes colours, I’d end up looking like an old Cyndi Lauper in a time warp.

These are the other, equally glorious, shades in the Catwalk Quad Collection. At £8.50 each for 3.5g these are competitively priced for the amount of product and strength of pigment you get.

Eye Inspire Catwalk Quad Collection Eyeshadows £8.50 MeMeMe Cosmetics direct and also sold in Superdrug.
