Fushi Green Tea Extract & Turmeric Bioperine Extract

Fushi Green Tea and Turmeric Supplements

When I was asked to choose supplements to trial for the site from Fushi, the award-winning ethical hair and beauty retailer, I didn’t hesitate in choosing Green Tea Extract with Matcha and Turmeric C3 & Bioperine Extract.

A quick internet search hails Green Tea as the healthiest drink in the world and Turmeric, as one of the most powerful plants on the planet.

Obviously the best way to ingest these is in their natural, raw state, but in these ‘modern times’ it isn’t always that easy or convenient.

I’m hit and miss making green tea. I know the water has to be off the boil for a couple of minutes and seeping time varies from 1 to 2 minutes, but I never seem to get it quite right, it always turns out slightly bitter.

Turmeric dissolved in warm milk is probably the easiest way to drink it, but it’s not to my personal taste.

Although, having said that, Goopy Goddess Gwyneth Paltrow has jumped on the turmeric latte bandwagon (because it photographs so prettily). To make Gwyn’s nutritious caffeine alternative to coffee, blend turmeric with almond milk, ginger, coconut sugar and coconut oil.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, if you want an instant health hit, try supplements.

Fushi’s Green Tea & Matcha is the first innovative supplement on the market, combining a concentrated green tea extract with pure Matcha powder for the most effective health benefits.

The antioxidant polyphenols, such as flavonoids and catechins in green tea help to scavenge free radicals, which can damage our cells and cause havoc in the body. Free radicals are thought to be one of the main players in ageing.

Turmeric is most popular for its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Turmeric has been widely used by Ayurvedic practitioners as a therapeutic remedy internally and externally.

The popularity of turmeric in the West has been rapidly catching on, mainly due to more and more research published on the health promoting benefits of this Indian staple spice.

It’s the Bioperine Extract that makes this supplement particularly effective. Research has proven that an active ingredient in black pepper, called piperine, can profoundly increase bioavailability (i.e. absorption), and work more effectively in the body.
