It used to come in a dangerous slippery glass bottle, and the formula was thin, yellow milk, which took ages to lather, it has a very distinctive, not for everyone, ‘earthy’ scent. But the payoff? Natural-looking highlights and silky, shiny ‘lit from within’ hair. One of the first shampoos I bought when I started work.

You’d be surprised how useful water in a can is, especially if kept in the fridge. A summertime must.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir

It took me a long time to appreciate facial mists. I even had two bottles of Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist sprays knocking about unused for ages. A bottle of Caudalie Beauty Elixir from a beauty box changed my mind.
This can be used as a primer under makeup if you need more a dewy finish; as a setting spray or toner. I love the scent, but it’s not for everyone, a floral rosemary/mint hybrid.
Daniel Sandler Watercolour Liquid Blush 15ml Shade So Pretty

I wanted to try these blushers for ages, but the price put me off.
Eventually, I bought samples from the official Daniel Sander site – hugely overpriced at £2.75 for a mere few drops of product. The samples really are the worst value for money ever, but I didn’t want to waste even more money on the wring shade.
‘Cherub’ is much lighter than any of the swatches I’ve seen online and was too pale even for me. I love ‘So Pretty’ but wish it was just a beat darker.
However, I am very tempted by these!

I tend to steer clear of any kind of illuminating products, but the Watercolour Blushers are so sheer and flattering, they blend seamlessly (if you work really fast that is) and are buildable, you need mere drops of product. Even though I KNOW I’ll never use Moon Glow, I’ll get these.
Daniel Sandler Invisible Radiance Foundation Invisible Radiance Foundation and Concealer 30g

I bought 4 out of the 5 samples on offer from the official site. Two of them mixed together created THE perfect shade for me. The foundation is sheer yet it covered all my redness and the finish was flattering with a barely-there hint of glow. The samples come in tiny bottles in clear plastic bags with the shades clearly marked on them – which I mixed up. I’m going to have to buy all four again.
Bumble and bumble Color Stick 3.5g

Recommended to me, but it looks like everyone’s beaten me to it, the blonde shade of out of stock. They only have brown and black. Excellent coverage for grey hair I’ve been told.
