DERMALEX – Skin Treatment Cream for Rosacea & Couperose

DERMALEX - Skin Treatment Cream for Rosacea & Couperose

I’ll be honest here, I hadn’t previously heard of couperose or its close connection to rosacea, I had to resort to good old Google to enlighten me.

Couperouse skin is red with broken capillaries and often feels tight and irritated. A flushed or blushing look is often a symptom of couperose skin. Rosacea is a chronic skin condition involving inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead or eyelids.

Skin affected by rosacea can also be couperose, however with rosacea you also get an acne-like appearance of lumps and bumps. The most common triggers for couperose skin are extreme temperatures, alcohol, smoking, sun exposure, stress and spicy foods.

DERMALEX Skin Treatment Cream for Rosacea & Couperose

Dermalex Rosacea & Couperose is a new, breakthrough treatment for Rosacea. It effectively treats typical rosacea symptoms such as dryness, redness and visibility of spider veins on the cheeks, nose and facial areas. By restoring the deeper skin barrier, Dermalex Rosacea also helps prevent new flare ups. In a clinical study, 95% of people noticed a substantial reduction in redness after 8 weeks of use.

Unlike emollients (mainly rehydrate the skin) or make up (mainly covers the red skin), Dermalex activates the skin’s own repair mechanism:

  • It restores the skin barrier, relieving the Rosacea symptoms.
  • It fortifies the skin barrier, protecting from new flare ups.
  • It creates a moisturising micro-shield on the skin that calms and soothes.

Safe for use for adults and children from 14 years old. Apply every morning and evening after cleansing the skin (before make up). Proven effective as a stand-alone self-treatment. For combination with other treatments, consult your pharmacist first. Safe to use over long periods of time.

I’ve not been able to trial this just yet because I’m undergoing other treatment for rosacea and I can’t cross the two over, otherwise I wouldn’t know which one works, or doesn’t work.

However, I always find reviews helpful and informative, I’ve gleaned a lot of useful tips from them, so I thought I’d post a few in-depth ones here. This Dermalex cream appears to be a case of love OR hate. For some, it works fast and there’s an improvement in as little as two weeks. For others, it does nothing at all. Although, bear in mind, the official advice is to wait 6-8 weeks for noticeable results.

Tried this for my rosacea as a last resort, after 3 weeks noticeable improvement, redness reduced, skin softer and even thread veins reduced. Hopefully will keep improving as product states could take up to 6 weeks to work.

Maybe it’s not quite the product for me; it’s worked well on redness and dry /flaky skin patches but it’s not cleared the v.late blooming ‘teenage’ spots that seem to flare up with the Rosacea as well. Product has a distinct smell and is very green – so massage in well, else you will look at bit ill.

I have used many products in the past for my redness, and I have to say this is the best so far in a long time. It keeps the face cool and does not feel like it is burning. I apply Helen E Stage Foundation on the top of it which really works. Hope this helps other rosacea suffers.

Helen E Stage Foundation anyone? One to look up.

A very expensive product, £18.99 for a small 30g tube & having applied it on three occasions I have witnessed little or no significant improvement in my facial skin condition which occurs spasmodically.

I know the advert says one has to use this product for at least 6 weeks to see the full effects of it. I have been using it for 2 weeks and was expecting to see at least an indication of its effectiveness but it has not made one scrap of difference.

This product was purchased for my dad as he has rosacea on his nose and has had this for a fair few years. He has been using it as directed, twice a day for approximately 4 weeks and already the redness that was previously there has turned significantly more pale in colour and the area looks healthy and much improved.

I bought this cream as a last resort. I have tried everything for my Rosacea. However, I have found this product really good. I apply it sparingly every morning and every evening and have found that although my Rosacea is not completely gone it has taken the redness away quite dramatically which has made me feel less conscious and more confident.

I have only been using now for 3 weeks but did notice a difference after around a week and a half. I know my rosacea will never totally disappear as indicators such as stress, and the odd glass of wine can flare the symptoms I am happy to recommend that you at least try this product.

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now & I have noticed a real difference in that time. I would recommend this product to anyone suffering with rosacea, it’s the first thing that I have used that has really worked.

This is the only product on the market that has worked for me after 5 years of suffering severe rosacea I am nearly clear, don’t bother with your doctor’s antibiotics and prescriptions they don’t work. Well done Dermalex, expensive but worth every penny.

Dermalex also have treatment creams for Psoriasis and Eczema sufferers.
