HOW TO USE
Step 1: Remove all lip products and anything which could block the LED light.
Step 2: Pop the silicone end into your mouth and turn it on.
Step 3: After 3 minutes, the device will automatically turn off.

INITIAL THOUGHTS
I was sent the Lip Perfector by CurrentBody which was fortunate because I was on the fence about buying one for myself.
My lips have definitely thinned more lately (damn you advancing age) and there’s a deepening crease at the corner on one side of my mouth in particular.
Admittedly, I ignored my own advice over the summer and barely used any anti-ageing gadgets. But the thing is, I’ve noticed a tangible difference. Not at the beginning, but about 6 weeks after not using anything, I feel my face has, well, not drooped as such, just not as perky. It could be natural ageing I suppose, but I’m digging everything out again now the nights are getting darker earlier.
I scrutinised the before and after photos on the CurrentBody website and at first, thought, I can’t see any difference. If anything, the lips in the before photo look pinker and plumper.
Then I looked a bit closer and it hit me. The skin above and below the lips is so much smoother. The lip lines look softer as do a couple of the creases at the sides of the mouth. The whole area around the lips looks – dare I say it, younger.
It’s a sleek piece of kit with a glossy charging unit. The device itself is a lot like a giant dummy and I’m trying not to bite down too hard on the silicone tip. Otherwise, it’s easy, quick and convenient.

LED AND AGEING
LED anti-ageing devices aren’t going anywhere, they have a proven track record and new products are appearing all the time addressing different ageing concerns.
I read about a jawline LED device recently on Pinterest, though not made by a well-known company. In fact, I think it was Ali Express and I’ve never met anyone who has bought from them, but it intrigued me.
