Classics Revisited – Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

I think I was too young when I started using this serum about 15 years ago. I didn’t have any noticeable lines, in fact, lines only crept up on me about 5 years ago. That’s the advantage of having oily skin, skin is naturally moisturised and doesn’t age as fast. Of course, it’s a shock to the system when you hit 45 and suddenly there’s a network of fine lines jostling for space around your eyes.

So I’ve come back to  Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, I believe my older skin loves serums more than creams and I can say now that I’ll be purchasing the full size bottle when this little one is finished.

It’s only been a couple of weeks, so time will tell. My skin certainly feels a bit tighter and smoother, but maybe that’s just me willing it to work. We’ll talk again in a month.

Now the biggie, it’s normally £45 for the 30ml bottle but I paid just £30 at The Cosmetics Store in Bicester Village

If you’ve not been to Bicester Village then, GO! It’s a beautifully laid out discount outlet in Oxford for designer clothes, shoes, bags, household goods AND my favourite shop of all, The Cosmetic Company Store. They’re very heavy on Estée  Lauder/Clinique products and a few niche brands. It’s a good opportunity to try ranges you might not normally want to spend too much money on. The stock changes regularly, last time I was there in February, they were selling heavily discounted Ojon hair products.

I’m also looking at Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum Infusion although priced at £45.00 for 15ml, it’s already making my eyes water.

According to customer reviews on the Estée Lauder site, it’s nothing short of a miracle in a bottle – visible results after a mere week’s use and more than a few people are saying how a little product goes a long way.  Hmm, tempting.

I can’t wait for your review on the eye serum. I used the other one they released last year and my eyes kept puffing up with it. So i would like to see if this actually does anything. I have had laughter lines all my life but now they are getting so much deeper so am looking for a super effective eye cream for lines and haven’t found one yet but i will keep searching.

There’s GOT to be a half decent eye cream/serum out there that doesn’t cost the earth.

We’re smart enough to know nothing bar invasive treatments will eradicate them deep down, but all I want is something to soften the lines.

I tried this one but it broke me out. On the other hand, Idealist was realyl good.
