This is not a post I had ever thought I would write, but LACURA’s Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream for the ultra silly price of £1.69, is a revelation!
Lacura Q10 Renew face cream with Coenzyme Q10, Retinol Complex and Avocado Oil protects against premature ageing.
I wanted to trial the much-admired LACURA caviar range from ALDI and Mark, only reading the first part of the text, saw the word ‘Lacura’ on the box and grabbed a couple of jars of this cream by mistake on his first run.
I usually keep my mum well supplied with the most luxurious and expensive night creams, but she was game to try this one, the results have been remarkable and I want IN!
After using the cream for 5 and a half weeks, her skin – and we’re talking about very mature skin here (sorry mum), is luminous. The fine lines around her eyes and mouth have been gently softened.
The ‘magic’ ingredient is of course, anti-ageing champion CoEnzyme Q10, which is naturally produced in the body, its primary function to stimulate cell renewal.
Q10 also acts as a natural antioxidant and helps to protect against damage from free radicals.
As we age, everything slows down and that includes the ability to regenerate cells and our levels of cell superhero Q10 depletes.
Lacura RENEW Night Cream formula is based on proven scientific findings and incorporates high performance ingredients to help slow the skin’s ageing process.
This night cream also contains a ‘retinol complex’ although I can’t find the percentage of retinol anywhere on the leaflet.
What I do know, is that my mum’s skin in unforgiving bright sunlight, is noticeably smoother and softer and not just by me.
I’ve just picked up 6 jars (hush now, there’s loads left) and I’ve swept all other night creams and serums to one side. I’m going to do a patch test and if that goes well, I’ll start the trial over Christmas.
One thing I do have to say, is that it smells a lot like the Nivea I remember from years ago and of course today, Nivea‘s Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle is a best-selling anti-ageing moisturiser.
I should add that CoEnzyme Q10 is also available as a supplement, although the strengths and varieties seem endless. This might be worth further investigation.
For now though, I will see how or if this cream works.
Lacura RENEW Q10 Night Cream £1.69 for 50ml.
That’s ONE POUND AND SIXTY NINE PENCE from ALDI.
