ROSIE FOR AUTOGRAPH Cream Eyeshadow Stick – Almond Eyes

ROSIE FOR AUTOGRAPH Cream Eyeshadow Stick - Almond Eyes

After the success of ROSIE FOR AUTOGRAPH Lip Glossy in Supermodel Smile, Sun Kiss, and the strongly pigmented Translucent Finishing Powder, I went on to buy the cream eyeshadow stick in Almond Eyes. This best-selling shade, (along with Movie Star Crush) seems to be consistently out of stock online and I can easily see why, it is gorgeous!

This cream eyeshadow glides on smoothly, and blends easily to deliver intense colour with a non-tacky, crease resistant metallic finish.

I agree! I love a metallic eyeshadow (a huge trend for 2017) and I’m confident in saying this particular shade will suit all skin tones – and ages. It will bring a subtle shimmer to the palest of skin tones and a pop of vibrant shine to darker skin colour.

The rose gold packaging is of course divine, but it’s really lovely and simple to use. It’s in the form of an ‘automatic’ i.e. twist up applicator pencil. It’s quite soft (I think it twists up a little more than the photo below shows, I was scared it would break off) so I use my finger to pat and blend it.

The creamy texture glides over the eyelid – and that’s only where it should be placed on mature skin. Older skin with let’s face it, slightly crepey eyelids, have to be particularly careful with anything metallic, you don’t want to emphasis a less than smooth lid, but this eyeshadow covers it all beautifully.

Younger skin of course can take the colour to the upper lid. I’ve read that some reviewers use it as an eyeliner too.

I’ve not experienced any creasing, but that could be because I use a primer underneath. The ‘primer’ I use is still NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in shade Milk – ALWAYS out of stock! Nothing holds and pops colour like it.

OTHER REVIEWS

Lovely soft eye cream that glides on like silk. Forgiving to older skin that can’t take powder anymore. Lasts very well. I have the almond eyes shade, which is a lovely soft neutral with a gleam, but not very sparkly. It’s good to use over the whole lid.

These cream sticks are great for the eyelid itself, they can go up slightly into the crease but I find they don’t blend out too well above the crease itself.

In the lighter Almond Eyes, it’s perfect for brightening the inner corner of the eye and its pen-like application makes it perfect for those that aren’t that confident with eyeshadow.

This has been a really good buy for me, I’ve used it every day since I bought it.
