REVIEW Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

REVIEW Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask

I love face masks (apart from Peel Off ones of course – never again). They’re pampering and indulgent, plus paper masks are foolproof to apply and take off, and they don’t create a mess.

This one from Garnier (part of L’Oréal), caught my eye firstly, because of the packaging I KNOW! But also because it was only 99p and I’m always on the lookout for quality budget products to review for the site.

GARNIER MOISTURE BOMB TISSUE MASK

Super-hydrating revitalising mask for dehydrated skin. Intensely rehydrates skin, reduces the look of fine lines, and revives radiance. Enriched with pomegranate extract, hyaluronic acid, and plant serum.

Inspired by *Asia, this tissue mask diffuses the equivalent level of hydrating serum as per 1 week’s use of use of Garner Moisture Bomb Day Cream.

HOW TO USE

  • Unfold the mask. Carefully apply the white tissue paper cloth to thoroughly cleansed skin. Make sure the blue protective film is facing outwards. Smooth the mask gently to ensure contact with the skin.
  • Remove the protective film.
  • Adjust the mask contours on the face. Leave for 15 minutes.
  • To remove the mask, peel off slowly from the edges. Gently massage in any excess serum, or use a cotton pad to remove.

REVIEW

First of all, it’s not a ’tissue’ mask, it’s a paper cloth mask, saturated with serum.

My main quibble is the mask shape. I’m not sure I’d like to meet the person this mask was modelled on, because they must have tiny, piggy eyes and huge jowly cheeks – come to think of it, was it Donald Trump?

I had to cut around a lot of the eye area for it to fit properly and fold the cheek parts up a bit too. Forget about even trying to align the lips or nose, they’re all over the place.

The mask itself though is superb. It is slightly fiddly at first, but once the blue film is peeled away, you’re able to press it down snugly so it fits into the contours of the face.

Although Garnier have been generous with the amount of saturated serum, there’s not too much, so it doesn’t drip everywhere.

It feels very cooling right up to the end of the 15 minutes and skin feels smooth and yes, hydrated afterwards.

This masks would be ideal to take on holiday to cool down and hydrate parched skin after a day in the sun, or relax with at home for an extra weekly moisture boost.
