LadyCare Magnet – Menopause Symptoms relief

LadyCare Magnet

I recently read an article about a daft celebrity (Edit: Kay Burley), who decided she would rebrand the menopause to make it sound more work and, get this, ‘man friendly’ and rename it, the power surge.

Lucky for her that she’s enjoying a new lease of life and renewed energy during menopause. For some of us, it’s less of a power surge and more like a blackout. *ba-dum-TSH*

I like to think of menopause as an annoying house guest who just won’t leave. The longer they stay, the more irritating they become to the point where it adversely affects your day-to-day life. You think they’ll never go, so you develop coping strategies to make living with them a little more tolerable.

Fortunately for us, menopause has become less of a taboo subject in recent years and (real) men no longer drop into a dead faint at the mere mention of the ‘M’ word.

We’re also seeing a wider variety of help available in the form of books, supplements, clothing, gadgets and devices.

One of those devices is the Lady Care Magnet.

WHAT IS IT?

LadyCare is a small powerful, static magnetic device that simply attaches discreetly and comfortably to your underwear.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

LadyCare relieves menopausal symptoms by helping to rebalance part of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and increasing parasympathetic activity, thus restoring equilibrium and creating a healthier balance between the two parts of the ANS.

Sure, it’s easy to dismiss, especially if you’re a sceptic and consider magnetic healing as a bit hippy New Age, but the global sales market for therapeutic magnets is estimated to be at least $1 billion a year. That’s an awful lot people who do believe in them.

ALTHOUGH, TALKING OF SCEPTICS…

Google ‘LadyCare magnet’ and the first result might point you to a website scoffing and deriding the device, with a ‘most hilarious’ quote coaxed from a doctor amid gleeful amusement from the author of the article.

Look closer at the comments though, and marvel at the voice of reason from a couple of female contributors to the conversation:

So disprove it! You have no clue what it’s like going through menopause! So until you do, shut the f *** up!

Lol! I do see that it’s mainly MEN, who are slagging this device – nice seeing as you lot live a life free from any kind of hormonal symptom…

Oh women, if only we ruled the world.

HOW TO USE

  • Attach LadyCare to your underwear about 4 inches below the navel.
  • Remove the small magnetic button from the main large curved part.
  • Place the large curved face against your body on the inside of your underwear with the small round magnetic button on the outside.

REVIEWS (Boots website)

This is an amazing product, have been wearing it for a couple of weeks and had no hot flushes for the past week, other menopause symptoms are going as well. Best thing ever…

Bought the LadyCare magnet, but was very sceptic about how it could actually work. Oh how pleased I am with it. I have been wearing it now as directed for three weeks and my hot flushes and night sweats have all but gone. I sometimes get a little warm, but nothing like things were. A wonderful item.

I didn’t find much improvement with my flushes but it was great for getting rid of bloating. I have stopped wearing it as I am going on holiday and nothing will convince me it won’t set the alarm off at the airport, but it will be going back on when I get back.

MY THOUGHTS

First thing, the magnetic pull is very strong! I thought it was going to snap my finger off when I went to attach it. Secondly, there was a moment of panic when I realised my iPad was on my lap. It IS a magnet people, be cautious and sensible when around electronics.

It’s really too early to note down any major changes, I have noticed a couple of little ones, but I’m biding my time for now and will continue to wear it to see if it IS the magnet that’s influencing these changes, or my willingness for it to be the magnet.
