Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

This product came to me via personal recommendation. A women I know, who has the most beautiful skin, was given a few samples of Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster with directions to use it as the first layer of her skin care routine after cleansing.  She felt there was a noticeable difference to the texture of skin and she has purchased the full sized products ever since.

The idea behind this serum is that it will ‘boost’ the effects of skin care products and make them work more efficiently.

ELIZABETH ARDEN SUPERSTART SKIN RENEWAL BOOSTER

Helps restore the healthy look of skin’s surface layer, fortifying its natural ability to repair and renew.

  • Boost your skin’s natural defenses
  • Boost your skin’s ability to renew
  • Boost the results of your skin care products

KEY INGREDIENTS

Sea Fennel and Flaxseed Extracts helps reinforce the integrity skin’s moisture barrier.
Probiotics Complex optimizes skin’s microflora to help strengthen its natural defenses.
Glasswort Extract boosts skin’s natural moisturisation by reducing water loss in the surface of the skin.

HOW TO USE

Smooth one pump onto clean face day and night, before applying serum and/or moisturiser.

FIRST THOUGHTS

The scent is light and fresh with a gentle hint of cucumber. I recommend ‘dotting’ the product onto your face and then smoothing it on, the gel/serum texture absorbs very quickly.

Skin is matte afterwards, there’s no sticky residue and you can’t feel it on your skin at all. With no drying or settling in time, you can apply your normal serum or moisturiser immediately.

I’ve been using the serum for three weeks, which is the earliest I’d expect to see a difference. The skin on my face does look and feel marginally smoother and I’ve noticed that my foundation glides on a little easier. What is significant though, is that my skin is considerably less greasy during the day.

Even better, I also apply another pump to my neck (under Clarins Super Restorative Décolleté & Neck Concentrate) and upper chest area (under Time Bomb OVER-EXPOSED) and here I have definitely seen an improvement in skin tone.

The problem is, how do you know for sure, that the serum is boosting the effects of your skin care, or that your skin is merely adjusting and going through a ‘good’ phase? I haven’t got the answer to that (just yet), but I have just re-ordered another bottle!

30ml is very little product for £45.00, I’m going to have to figure out how to break the bottle apart to get to every last drop out of it.

Better news though, is that I bought mine for £27.10. Now, (at 1st February 2016) it’s £30.15 with free P&P from AllBeauty.com. That’s the cheapest price from a reputable online retailer I can find, £15.00 off isn’t a bad price at all.
