A year down the line, and I still get emails asking about the ‘LightStim for Wrinkles’ device I trialled during a particularly horrible period in my life when I suffered from an awful allergic skin reaction to a citrus essential oil.
I’m a huge fan, because LightStim plumped up my severely creased and dehydrated neck area – which is what I was left with when the hives healed and it also evened out my skin tone. Here are the (rather graphic) photos from the original review to prove my point.
The red marks from the scarring gradually faded completely, although they do reappear if I become too hot or stressed – and nothing stresses me more than a hot flush! I guess once you suffer from an allergy, it never really leaves your body and lays dormant until an event triggers it off again.
My neck area is still good though and I use the LightStim device at least once a week. One of the things people always ask about this blog and my trialling of various anti-ageing gadgets, is isn’t it really time consuming? The answer is YES! But when you begin to see actual results, suddenly it’s not such a chore, because you know it’s really working.
I do appreciate that the cost of the full size version of LightStim which is £249.00, might be not be financially viable for everyone. However, on 10th November, LightStim is launching a smaller version of its (award-winning) LightStim for Wrinkles device on QVC for a much more affordable £82.74 (down from £91.00).
LIGHTSTIM FOR WRINKLES MINI
The smaller device boasts half the LED lights (36) compared to the bigger, original LightStim for Wrinkles, which has 72 lights. Although smaller in size, the Mini is as powerful as its big sister and contains four different colours of LED light – Amber, Light Red, Dark Red and Infrared – that will plump up the skin, leaving your complexion looking visibly younger and more radiant than ever.
LightStim for Wrinkles Mini is a ‘reset button for the skin’, allowing you to gradually and naturally restore the collagen and elastin levels in the skin, leaving the epidermis looking more plump and youthful.
In stark contrast to cosmetic procedures such as Botox and fillers that are temporary, LightStim treatments, loved by celebs such as Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Kate Beckinsale, work in harmony with the body and delivers lasting results.
When LightStim treatments are stopped, your skin will continue to look plump and youthful, of course keeping in mind that the normal ageing process will start taking its toll on the skin again. Your anti-ageing results can be maintained by continuing LightStim treatments just two-three times per week.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Just like plants, our skin and other body tissues have the ability to absorb light and convert it into energy. Plants can safely absorb light from the sun, but the sun emits harmful UV rays that can do more damage to our skin than good.
LightStim uses LED Light Therapy to deliver light energy in a similar way plants absorb light energy from the sun. LightStim emits beneficial, UV-free light rays that stimulate the body’s natural process to build new proteins and regenerate cells, increasing collagen and elastin levels in the skin.
