You’ve got to hand it to the Time Bomb team, Youth Juice Secret Oil has to be the best skin care product name ever!
This ‘Secret Oil’ is a rich, but lightweight, facial oil packed with Vitamins E and C and a combination of antioxidant rich oils, including olive, kukui, avocado and jojoba.
The idea is that it helps mimic skin’s natural sebum to replace oils no longer produced by ageing skin. While most oils remain on the surface of the skin, this oil doesn’t due to a breakthrough proprietary delivery system.
♥ Mimics Natural lipid complex to quench dehydrated skin.
♥ Creates a moisture barrier to helps to reduce the appearance of lines.
♥ Absorbs instantly for non-greasy feel.
♥ Protects against free radical damage.
♥ Plumps, protects and helps seal in natural moisture.
HOW TO USE
Place fingertip over opening and tilt bottle so oil flows.
Apply a small amount of oil onto a clean face and smooth evenly over skin.
Allow to penetrate before applying other moisturising products to help seal in beneficial oils.
The first thing that should be noted is that the oil smells absolutely delicious – like a luxury spa, and (I say this a lot), I would absolutely LOVE a candle scented like this for the bathroom.
I’ve only just begun to use this oil, but I will update the post once the 60ml bottle has been used up. If you don’t want to commit to a 60ml bottle, there’s a 17ml bottle for £16.00.
At the moment, I use it at night, after cleansing and, unlike a serum, over moisturiser.
Most facial oils are able to penetrate moisturiser, and can ‘lock in’ the moisturising benefits. A moisturiser though, can’t always work its way past the oil to your skin (obviously, because oil forms a barrier).
If you don’t want to apply oil directly to skin, you could always mix a few drops into your favourite moisturiser.
The oil absorbs well, but I find it takes a good 5-8 minutes to fully soak in – without any greasy residue as promised.
I’m not keen on the idea of oil flowing out, making contact with fingers – no matter how clean they are, and then flowing back into the bottle, but I have found a very handy solution.
I always use a pipette with wide necked bottles, so that my fingers are never in direct contact with the product. I buy 100 plastic disposable pipettes for usually £3-3.50 from a company on Amazon UK called Medline. It’s economical too, because you can control the amount of drops you use.
The bottle itself is made of extremely tough plastic, there’s a snug fitting stopper, and a metal screw cap, so worries about it leaking when travelling shouldn’t be a problem.
Mature skin is usually parched skin, Time Bomb Youth Juice quenches that thirst!
