As we get older and skin becomes less elastic, the area between the eyebrows and above the nose, called the glabella, often shows the first signs of ageing.
Glabellar lines, the vertical wrinkles also known as 11‘s, become more pronounced over time and can make us look like we’re frowning or angry when we’re not.
I have one vertical line above my right eyebrow, the side I sleep on – always sleep on your back! It doesn’t bother me at all because it’s hidden by my fringe.
More troublesome though, is the horizontal line between my eyebrows. It’s an inherited trait, which my fringe only properly covers when it’s in need of a trim. Most days it doesn’t look too obvious, but I can guess that gradually, it will become deeper.
I’ve been reliably informed that only Botox or a Dermal Filler will fill this line in and erase it completely, so I’m always on the lookout for a concealer or make up ‘filler’ to soften its appearance.
Searching for non invasive alternatives, I came across an article called Wrinkles Between Eyebrows on Buzzle. It discusses an ingredient called Argireline, used in skin care products and often referred to as Botox in a jar, that may help to relax facial muscles without the need for injections.
Argireline is one of the ingredients used in Fabulift Fabulous Eyes…
FABULIFT FABULOUS EYES
A temporary fix that gives instant results with added skin benefits.
This unique formula contains ingredients such as Argireline and Syn-ake which help to soften expression lines around the eye area and Hyaluronic Acid which helps to plump, smooth and diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, giving your eyes a refreshed, youthful look.
Fabulift Fabulous Eyes can be applied around the entire eye area including number 11s, upper eye lids and expression lines above the brow for a temporary lift lasting up to 10 hours.
HOW TO USE
Before application, ensure skin around the eye area is clean and dry and free from all make up and moisturiser.
Twist the cap, this then can be turned upside down to close the ampoule securely to ensure product if keep air tight for future applications.
Use a very small amount on your finger, roughly the size of a grain of rice, apply to the areas of concern in using a light dabbing motion.
AREAS TO TREAT
- Under the eye area
- Between the eyebrows
- Eye lid/brow
Allow to dry for 2 to 3 minutes remaining expressionless. The product may take up to 15 minutes for optimum effect. During this time you may experience a tightening sensation as the product takes effect.
Do not apply moisturiser or skin care products over the applied area. Once dry, a powder or oil-free foundation can be applied over the top if required.
Product can be easily removed with your normal cleansing product.
NOTE: If a little too much product is applied, the skin may take on a very slight powdery appearance. A light damp cloth wiped over the application area will rectify this issue.
It takes a bit of practise to apply the correct amount. I applied far too much product the first few times I used it. Try to control how much serum you squeeze out of the tube, you need a lot less than you might think (which also makes the 2ml in each tube stretch a lot further). I find that all I need is a tiny smidge – half a grain of rice, size wise.
I gently dab it onto the line and maintain a slightly crazed, wide awake expression for about 4-5 minutes – yet another beauty treatment that needs to be performed behind a closed-door!
The line doesn’t disappear completely, but it is most definitely a lot fainter. Once fully dried, (ANY trace of whiteness means you’ve applied too much), and, using a fine eyeliner brush, I then apply a dot of the life saver that is Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer on top and the line is very nearly invisible.
I’ve yet to use it anywhere else, mainly because the horizontal line was my main concern, but I am now going to try it on my upper eyelids and on the side of my eyes and then update this post.
