REVIEW Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Beauty Flash Primer
I’ve just used a sample of Charlotte Tilbury WONDERGLOW Instant Soft-Focus Beauty Flash Primer and I’m very glad I did…use just a sample I mean.
Miracle fix to turn around tired, dull, dehydrated skin in a beauty flash, with Collagen-boosting peptides and patented wrinkle-preventing ingredients infused with light-reflecting microspheres.
Fluorescent Core Light Diffuser that cleverly steals UV light from its surroundings and re-emits it as skin luminosity to disguise and transform drab, sleep-deprived skin.
Visionary new anti-age hybrid, a cross between an anti-age elixir and a complexion-enhancing light diffuser.
IS SHOT THROUGH WITH GLITTER!
Subtle as it may be, it’s obvious as heck in bright daylight.
For once, the swatch on the Charlotte Tilbury website is spot on – the photo below is a perfect match for the product.
The thing is, if someone is buying it online, I think they might not know from all the flowery rhetoric that it has glitter in it.
The state of the art Fluorescent Core Light Diffuser absorbs UV particles from the sun & re-emits their energy as visible light, flooding the skin with powerful luminosity. i.e. glitter.
I thought I should apply it where the sun naturally hits my face and started with the tiniest amount on the top of my cheeks. The result? Disco Barbie. This is not what older skin needs no matter how much it’s loaded with anti-ageing magic.
The feather light, sheer fluid itself is actually rather gorgeous. You have to work fast to blend because it dries fairly quickly, and to a non greasy finish.
You could definitely wear it on its own when on holiday and for a glamorous night out, but for daytime wear, for older women, it needs to be applied under foundation. The effect is subtle and yes, I admit there is a gentle glow, but I can still see the sparkle and it does have a tendency to highlight pores.
A DUPE OF…
It reminds me of a dialled down, non slippery, more expensive version of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose shimmer oil.
MUCH LOVED (by other people)
Wonderglow does have a lot of fans, even beloved skin guru Caroline Hirons rates it – and if Caroline likes a product, you know it’s worth looking at.
For me though, the sparkle is too much.

PS On younger skin, this would be AMAZING!
PPS It’s not all doom and gloom, I bought and love (review to come), Charlotte’s Rock ‘n’ Kohl Eye Cheat, a nude coloured eyeliner for the waterline – Perfection!
PPPS I also bought the Coachella Coral lipstick, it looked lovely in the shop…
