REVIEW: Tibby Olivier Faith Lip Lift
Tibby Olivier’s Faith Lip Lift – Lip LIFT, it’s an impossible task when you think about it. How can a mere lip balm possibly produce a ‘lifting’ effect? Well, it does and it doesn’t. True, there is an immediate plumping effect after application, but that of course wears off after a while.
What does happen though, is that regular massage, especially on the upper lip area, DOES help with those vertical lines we’re prone to get as we age and collagen production slows down.
Faith Lift Lip plumps, redefines and minimises fine vertical lines and keeps lip contour in shape, providing a more youthful and appealing look. It also includes a rich blend of oils, butters and waxes with Vitamin E to nourish and protect lips from harsh environmental conditions. Contains Beeswax.
HOW TO USE
- Apply morning and night
- Apply to lips and surrounding vertical lip lines
This is how I apply the balm.
Morning and evening, I scoop up a small amount of product with the little black spoon applicator. Then, with my index finger I apply the balm to my lips and gently move around my mouth in tiny, outward circular movements.
I then repeat, but this time, I go over my lip line. If I have time, I’ll do it a couple of times more, moving clockwise and anti-clockwise around my lips.
And you know what? It tingles, I mean it really tingles. It’s obviously blood rushing to my lips that’s plumping them up (because they do look glossy and shiny), but there’s definitely ‘something’ working because I can feel the edges of my lips ‘sticking out a bit’ – for want of a better expression!
I then gently blot any excess with a tissue and find that I don’t need to apply any vertical line filler.
I believe regular, gentle massaging to stimulate the collagen in the lips can only be a good thing. It will boost collagen production and boost circulation, bringing more blood and nutrients to your skin.
Here’s a quick lip massage exercise (not using lip balm) from Prevention
1. Place both thumbs under upper lip.
2. Push lip forward with thumbs while also trying to push thumbs back against gum with lip. Hold 6 seconds. Do 10 times in a row daily for 7 weeks.
