Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Mask

Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Overnight Mask

I’ve always wanted to try this overnight mask, but have been put off by the price, especially as I haven’t used Origins’ products before.

£23.00 for 100ml of mask feels steep, but reading the online reviews, you’d think this mask is the Holy Grail of moisturising treatments.

Skin depends on water for its youthful functioning. But all day long, skin loses vital moisture. And the busier you are, the more it loses.

This intense moisture replacement mask deeply quenches compromised moisture reserves and builds a reservoir for tomorrow.

Japanese Seaweed repairs skin’s barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature ageing. Skin awakens refreshed, replenished, ready to face the day.

HOW TO USE

Twice a week or as desired, gently massage onto clean skin at bedtime. Tissue off excess.

REVIEWS

Really nice non greasy moisture mask that smells divine. My skin feels lovely in the morning after using this overnight.

This product is wonderful. I am in my mid-60s and my skin has been feeling dry and tight and showing all the signs of ageing. After using this product for only 3 days, the difference in both feel and appearance was really quite dramatic. My skin feels soft and smooth and the tightness has disappeared completely.

I have an oily T-zone but winter has made the outer layers dry and tight. I was looking for a sleep-in mask that resembles the products I’ve used in Korea and Japan but found none here in the UK.

That is until I stumbled on this amazing mask! I use it every night as a night moisturiser and spread it thinly but evenly across my face, massaging them into the pores.

I wake up looking well-rested, and my face looking soft, supple and glowy. The difference really is remarkable. About my oily T-zone, I think this mask somehow managed to balance it out and my face doesn’t feel so oily during mid-day any more.

My sister got me this mask and I have bought several tubes since. It is amazing!! I use it on my hands and feet sometimes as well as my face and it always helps replace lost moisture and keeps skin looking healthy and smooth.

It isn’t greasy, doesn’t leave marks on your clothes and smells a bit like peaches but isn’t too sweet or cloying. Even my husband likes the smell! It doesn’t seem to clog pores and I even use it sometimes during the day if I am out walking to protect my skin from cold and wind and it doesn’t look shiny.

This product is great for dry skin. I have dry flaky skin around the nose and often get face mask for  too. This mask helps get rid of my dry skin, especially combined with an exfoliating face wash.

I must say that I don’t use it as often, only once a week or fortnight having learnt the lesson the hard way (after using so many harsh products that just ruined my skin) I truly believe your skin needs to be able to rest and become healthy through your diet and lifestyle choices, and only occasionally get a little bit of extra help, like a hydrating mask or exfoliator.

This is a wonderful product. It doesn’t irritate my very sensitive skin at all, smells divine and has left my skin dewy smooth.

It doesn’t break my skin out, totally hydrates and leaves my skin plump, soft and smooth. I find that even when it’s not too cold and my skin does not have dry patches; my skin is still quite prune-like with uneven texture. But this mask smooths out my skin pretty well.

This mask can sit on the skin for a while when you first apply, but it’s very comfortable.

I have really dry skin so thought this would be perfect, however I used twice in one week as recommended and it broke my skin out! Perhaps for occasional use, as it does make your skin lovely and hydrated. Just a shame about the breakout. Would still recommend overall.

ALTHOUGH SOMEONE’S NOT A FAN…

The product review site Paula’s Choice, absolutely hate it giving it a scathing review. Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream (which I’ve also always wanted to try), takes an even bigger bashing with Paula’s Choice going so far as to call it the anti, anti-ageing cream, claiming it: ”…hurts skin’s healing process and its ability to act younger”. Ouch!

I’m not relying too heavily on Paula’s review (especially as she’s flogging her own products) but, because of the eye watering long list of ingredients, I’m going to take extra care with my patch testing – just in case old Paula’s right!
