HOW TO USE
SKINCARE TIPS

For best results, apply to slightly damp skin after bathing or showering.
For rough spots, lips and nails: Rub a small amount into affected areas.

HAIR CARE TIPS

Frizzy hair
After washing, drying and styling, rub a small amount into the palms of your hands then lightly work it in.

Dry, damaged hair
Before shampooing, pre-treat hair by working a small amount into the weak, damaged ends. Leave it on for half an hour.
Then wash thoroughly using a non-moisturising shampoo with warm water.

HAND CARE TIPS

When massaged into the nails and cuticles, coconut oil is a great and effective nail treatment and can help to stimulate nail growth. Plus, the oil moisturises dry cuticles.

The other products look nice, but the thought of buying plain coconut oil as a beauty product feels a little odd to me. Why not just pick up some coconut oil from the food aisle? Unless this version is cheaper?

Good question. I don’t think this one is any cheaper than a grocery version, but for me, daft as it sounds, I think it’s a ‘psychological’ thing.
I bought Nutiva Coconut Oil for my eyelash experiment

But, because coconut oil has so many other health benefits, I also use a teaspoon on cereal every now and then.
When I use it on my hair however, I decant it into another container first and then use it. I wouldn’t dream of spooning a dollop out and applying it straight to my hair.
It might be a family trait – my mum has the most beautiful skin and she’s been using cold pressed extra virgin olive oil on her face since forever. But, she has a separate bottle reserved solely for cooking.
Here’s a link to more information regarding the (possible) beauty benefits of coconut oil.
