UNDER REVIEW: Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask
I know I have a ridiculous amount of hair products, but there is ALWAYS room for one more. This Phyto PhytoJoba Brilliance Mask is specially designed to instantly moisturise and protect dry hair.
Nourish and hydrate your dry hair with an intense moisturising treatment by Phyto. Phytojoba contains jojoba oil and other plant-based ingredients. It conditions the hair increasing suppleness and shine.
Recognised for its regenerative, emollient properties, the jojoba oil within this Phyto Mask will nourish your dry hair, restoring it back to its former health, while being remarkably gentle on your hair and scalp. With its creamy, delicately fragranced texture, Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask provides intensive conditioning by restructuring the hair’s protective film, helping your hair to retain moisture.
Phytojoba also contains essential oils of South African sweet orange known for its purifying and toning properties; angelica seeds and root extracts to impart shine and vitality while their soothing ability prevents irritation on even the most sensitive scalps. With its natural gum derivative, Phyto’s Intense Hydration Mask will leave your hair instantly detangled without weighing it down.
Recommended for medium to coarse textured hair.
HOW TO USE
After shampooing, apply a walnut-sized amount to hair. Distribute with a wide-tooth comb from roots to ends. Leave on for 2 to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. May be used daily as an express conditioner. To soothe dryness and irritation, massage into scalp.
REVIEWS – Mixed! It’s one of those love/hate products obviously
About a year ago I decided I wanted to dye my naturally light blonde hair dark brown. To get it back to blonde, it was bleached 3 times in about 3 1/2 months, which obviously damaged it A LOT. I tried a few different treatments/deep conditioners, which helped but didn’t do much.
I decided to pick this up and after one use I couldn’t believe how soft and healthy it felt! After using it 3 times once a week my hair was even healthier than it was before I bleached it! It is pretty pricey, but it lasts a long time and it’s definitely worth it!
My sample gave me weird “lion” hair, for lack of a better description. I have lots of fine hair, and right after using, my hair looked clean + pretty. But in about 8 hours, my hair was already starting to look greasy and–hard to explain–sections of my hair were clumping together in a way that made me look like I had way more hair than I had, but in a crazy, not-good way. I can even go so far as to say that it felt “rubbery.” <Bizarre!
I have long dry coloured hair and have tried many hair treatments over the years. Phytojoba is definitely the best. It leaves my hair very soft and hydrated and it has a lovely lemon smell which is not overpowering.
This has a nice citrus smell, but despite money heavily spent, moisturised my hair only about as well as a light-to-medium daily use conditioner.
I have long, curly, highlighted hair and this Phyto Phytojoba Mask is my all-time favourite mask. It hydrates the hair and makes it appear smoother without all the unnecessary silicones. Only a small amount is needed to work through the entire length of my hair, so the 200ml is more than enough for several months of use.
I like to use this mask when my hair really needs hydration, like after swimming or being in the sun all day. I will shampoo then apply this mask and let it work its magic for at least 10 mins. Upon rinsing my hair is soft and smooth. Since my hair is fine I only use this when I really need it.
