OFFER: Latest in Beauty ‘Summer Nails’ £14.95 (worth £55)

Latest in Beauty
I’ve previously written about luxury sized beauty sample offers from Latest in Beauty and I’m always keeping an eye on the website waiting for decent ones to pop up and I think this is one. Well I hope so, as I’ve just ordered a box and will review the contents when it arrives.

Here’s what you get for your £14.95 (which includes P & P).

1. BOURJOIS MAGIC NAIL POLISH REMOVER – 75ml £4.99
BOURJOIS MAGIC NAIL POILSH REMOVER
Thoughts
This is going to be perfect to take away on holiday. I find that Quickies although really cheap, dry out too soon after you open them.

Excellent product. Easy to use just put your finger in and twirl it against the sponge for about 10 seconds and nail polish is removed completely. Nice smell also.

2. BUTTER LONDON NUDE POLISH – 11ml about £12.00
BUTTER LONDON NUDE POLISH (11ml)
Thoughts
I LOVE Butter London varnishes. For winter I wear this inky blue shade called Big Smoke or this glossy, true purple (much more red than seen in the photo) called HRH. The polishes go on evenly and I like that the first coat is never watery.

I strongly recommend Butter London’s Nail Foundation, not only as a basecoat to smooth out ridges but also as a standalone colour, a non glossy (but not matt), skin matching nude.
Butter London Nail Foundation
Not cheap at £14.95 but that is for a generous 17.5ml and two years down the line, mine hasn’t thickened and the brush is still well-behaved.

It leaves a silky, matte finish when used alone which also makes it an excellent product for men who want an invisible, but immaculate manicure.

3. ESSIE SLEEK STICKERS – £11.99
ESSIE SLEEK STICKERS
Thoughts
I’m not one for messing about with nail stickers, but these could be a lot of fun for Christmas. Close up, these ‘So Haute’ ones look rather impressive.

4. L’OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER HAND CREAM – 30ml £8.00
L'OCCITANE SHEA BUTTER HAND CREAM
Thoughts
In my opinion, this is still THE best hand cream for instant results.

5. NAILS INC POLISHES – 2 x 4ml Mini Sizes £4.40 & £4.80 (Pro rata)
NAILS INC POLISHES
Thoughts
The shade Notting Hill Pink has been out for a while (well over a year) and it always seems to pop up in giveaways, but I think it’s a perfect summer colour for the tanned (fake, of course) or the fair-skinned as a shock of colour.

…this is like candy on the end of my fingers. Such a great colour, Nails Inc. x.

Nails Inc
Kensington Caviar – Quite excited by this, I like the fact that it IS a tiny bottle, I find bottles of top coats become gloopy very quickly.

Best fast drying top coat I’ve tried. Prefer this to Seche Vite and OPI’s Rapidry by far, both of which tend to thicken as you get to around halfway through the bottle. This one is great, however. I’m more than halfway through it and it’s still usable. – Interesting!

…its glass like finish is beautiful. Keep applying over your colours to brighten it up and make it last that little bit longer

6. RITUALS NAIL VARNISH CORRECTOR PEN – 3ml £7.00
6. RITUALS NAIL VARNISH CORRECTOR PEN - 3mlThoughts
I’m left-handed so the nails on my right hand are always perfect, but I always mess up the nails on my left hand. This will save me from having a cotton ear bud saturated in nail varnish remover on standby.

I was first introduced to Rituals when I received a Yogi Flow Shower foam in Sweet Almond Oil and Indian Rose in a (pre strop) Glossybox and I’ve repurchased it ever since.Ritual Shower FoamThe scent is incredible, not a synthetic rose fragrance at all AND it’s long-lasting on your skin post shower. Easily as good as a luxury ‘designer fragrance’ product for a third of the price.

7. THE VINTAGE COSMETICS COMPANY EMERY BOARD – £2.00
THE VINTAGE COSMETICS COMPANY EMERY BOARDMeh, it’s an emery board.

Adding it all up, it comes to £55.18. There are products here I have used before and loved; products I’ve always wanted to try and products I wanted to try but wouldn’t have paid full price for.   This is my idea of a good offer.

Not so over beauty boxes but Latest in Beauty seem to be the best – you can see what you’re getting, no subscription and generally it seems to be stuff you actually want to try rather than random guff.

Exactly. Glossybox for example, started out so well and there were products I’ve since repurchased over and over again, such as the HD Brows palette which I now consider an everyday essential.
Then Glossybox had to spoil it all by putting too many perfume samples into the boxes as one of the ‘deluxe beauty miniatures’ (instead of an ‘extra’), they continuously send the ‘best boxes’ to bloggers for a positive review (of course the bloggers love the boxes, they’re getting the best ones!) and THEN they started to introduce their crappy, cheapy feel, OWN brand products. It was less of a monthly ‘surprise beauty treat’ and more of a regular disappointment.
      *And breathe*

I will say that the quality of their boxes was excellent though, great for storage.

With Latest in Beauty you can work out if you really want the box. I’ve passed on a lot of the LIB boxes, but this nail one was too good to miss.

there needs to be a therapy group for people traumatised by beauty boxes!
