Results – ‘Latest in Beauty’ Samples

alllilb-1UPDATE MARCH 2013

So, I’ve used my ‘luxury samples’  and, following on from the items I bought here are the results:  Two stand outs and two pffts.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant 2.5ml £1.50
Now this was the one I was most excited about, but I can’t tell you anything!  Unlike the fine lines around my eyes, this was gone after three days. I obviously used too much product, but it absorbs so quickly.

The first time I used it, I put it on my fingertips, gently rubbed them together and it vanished! The trick I know NOW, is to apply it directly to your skin, drop by drop and then rub it in quickly. I’m going to have to get another one – I’m buying more of the Japonesque Swabs anyway, too many women have said how  wonderful this oil is and for £1.50 I WILL  find out for myself.

Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation 7.5ml £4.00
The scent is a little ‘doctor’s surgery’ but it soon wears off. It’s also a bit sticky. Initially, I thought the colour was too dark but no, it blends out (work fast) to a much lighter, more natural looking colour.

I’m glad it’s a tube and not a glass bottle with a pump, your £4.00 is going to stretch because you’ll be able to squeeze every last bit of product from the tube. I can’t abide those pumps, especially the ones you can’t dismantle, ‘Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish’ in a pump bottle, I’m looking at you! Just be careful when taking off the silver seal, loads of product comes out at once.

This ‘Foundation, No Foundation’ (stop pretending, you are a foundation), most definitely and effectively, covers pores and blemishes, but I’d say it’s more suitable for a younger, oiler skin.

I THOUGHT I loved this but, two people on the two separate days I wore this, told me I looked ill! Of course I’d broken Ageing Make Up Mishap No 4 and my skin was just too matt. I’m going to keep trying though and perhaps apply it only on  areas that need more coverage.

St. Tropez Instant Glow Body Lotion 50ml! £2.00
Not opened because I already know how good it is and I have a full size one. Seriously, for the price, you should get one.

Japonesque Beauty Fixation Makeup Remover 24 pre-filled swabs £1.50
The cheapest item and yet the best – AMAZING!

These little sticks are sturdy. The make up remover fluid isn’t overly powerful, I’ve bought similar ones which were so strong they made my eyes water. Another good thing is that there’s ‘just enough’ liquid to do the job, you don’t feel you’ve wasting a swab. They will clean up your under eye make up area nicely and any little other touch ups you need doing, bargain.
