Choked by Estée Lauder’s Throat Cream
It doesn’t work.
Estée Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lift Age-Correcting Creme for Throat and Décolletage – An eye watering £75.00. The only way in which this product tightened my throat was thinking about how much it cost.
I sleep on my side and have done so all my life, I can’t help it, I’m not able to sleep in any other position. I would advise any young woman to NOT get into that habit. It soon become very obvious I sleep on my right side, even the area around my right eye is more wrinkled than my left. I also think my hair on the right side of my head doesn’t ‘lie’ right either. Admittedly, the thought of having wasted £75.00 could be driving me to the brink of insanity.
I keep out of the sun and wear sunscreen but my décolletage or chest area, to give it it’s less romantic name, is starting to get that ‘creased look’, OK maybe not ‘Donatella Versace creased’ but enough to start to really bother me.
I did my research. I did serious research. Months of research actually.
Sure, deep down, I know that you don’t really need a separate cream for the throat and chest area. Maybe one that’s not too rich because skin there is delicate and thin. I also know that a mere cream isn’t going to penetrate skin layers and that any improvement wouldn’t be skin deep, but just on the surface, BUT THAT WAS OK, THAT WAS WHAT I WANTED!
From the fantasists at Estée Lauder:
Now look strikingly younger and more lifted. This silky, luxurious creme has been developed specifically for the delicate throat and décolletage areas. Skin looks firmer, more toned. Minimizes the look of crepiness, discolorations and imperfections. Exclusive Re-Nutriv Life Re-Newing Molecules™ help repair, recharge and restore.
And the fantasists online:
Within a couple of days of using it morning and evening, the texture of my skin was visibly much improved (without magnification). My skin feels much softer to the touch (the way I remember it at about age 20 — and I’m 59). This is as close to miracle product as I’ve yet to encounter.
I ADORE THIS PRODUCT . I HAVE ALWAYS HAD DECENT SKIN BUT MY SKIN STARTED LOOKING DRIER AND OLDER. MY FRIEND PURCHASED THIS AND LOVED IT (SHE IS 49 AND I AM 61) SHE GAVE ME A DROP ND I WAS IN LOVE. I GOT SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON MY SKIN
Yeah, of course looking at the above reviews now, and I must have read about 40 reviews from all sorts of sources on the net and in print, it seems a bit too good to be true. *Hindsight*
Its fragrance is much the same as any other Estée Lauder product. *Begone evil thoughts that it’s just the one cream Estée Lauder are putting into different jars* The texture’s not too thick, it’s not overly rich. And…that’s it really.
I’ve used it EVERY night since the 25th December and nothing, not one bit of difference in the texture of my skin, nada.
Actually, I could’ve cut out the rant and just said at the start of this review, doesn’t work, don’t buy it, but I just had to get this off my chest.
