Ageing Make Up Mishaps: No 2 – Fake Tan Overload
You’re older, you have more lines, fake tan settles into lines, the end.
Obviously you need a little colour, not many of us have make up artists running around after us perfecting that pale and interesting look. It’s too easy as you get older to look washed out.
I’m still a fan of a slick of Garnier Summerbody Moisturising Lotion every night, but if you want something with a little more kick, then you should go for a tanning product with a little ‘red’ in it to mimic a natural tan.
Two of the best – on me at least and I’m fair skinned, are:
Clarins Delectable Self Tanning Mousse £22.00 NOT the cream version, it reeks!
Now, I’m not sure if it’s because they’re both mousse formlations, but there’s a faint whiff of ‘aroma de biscuit’ as the colour develops from both products. Nothing you can’t live with though.
As always, less is more, apply in thin layers, then get out and glow.
