UNDER REVIEW: Peter Thomas Roth Meet Your Mask

Peter Thomas Roth Masks

I’ve heard good things about the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask and was tempted to buy a jar, but then I read a review that said it was quite potent; ‘burning’ and ‘tingling’ are a couple of the words that were bandied about. So this little set of 6 of the best sellers seem like a safer, gentler introduction to the range.

The set of 6 is £22.00 and each tube contains 14ml of product, so it’s not a cheap buy. But I will note how many masks I get from each tube.

Meet Your Mask Kit features six indulgent yet effective masks of different textures and with different aims. With a variety of masks to choose from, this innovative collection allows you to tailor your skincare regime perfectly and means that you can multi-mask like a professional, partnering the different areas of the face with the required mask. (Oh, interesting)

24K GOLD MASK An indulgent anti-ageing mask that creates a lit-from-within glow
Helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a youthful-looking complexion.
Its luxurious formula is enriched with the powers of caffeine, hyaluronic acid and glycerin to provide an instant lifting and firming effect

Apply a generous, non-transparent layer to clean skin, thoroughly covering the entire face. Allow to remain on for 5-10 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water.Use 2-3 times a week or as desired.

PUMPKIN ENZYME MASK A highly effective exfoliating mask
Do a patch test before use. This is incredibly active, so could aggravate especially sensitive skins – although don’t be alarmed if you experience a slight tingling/redness upon application – this is quite normal.

Apply a thin layer to clean skin. Gently massage in a circular motion with wet fingertips to polish with micro-polishing aluminum oxide powder. Leave on for 3-7 minutes depending on skin sensitivity and let the AHAs and enzymes work. Rinse thoroughly. Use one or two times per week.

Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.

CUCUMBER GEL MASK An ultra-gentle, non-stinging, anti-irritant gel masque for all skin types including even the most sensitive
Apply a generous coat on clean skin. Allow mask to remain on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water. For a very cool treatment, refrigerate product. For an intensive treatment, apply a thin layer as the last layer of skin care and leave on overnight.
Use 2-3 times a week or daily for intensive hydration.

IRISH MOOR MUD MASK A traditional inspired decongesting and hydrating mud mask
Using fingertips, apply evenly on clean skin.
Leave on for up to 10 minutes. Remove with a warm, damp face cloth and rinse skin thoroughly of any remaining residue.
Use two to three times a week or as desired.

ROSE STEM CELL MASK – A cooling facial mask which rejuvenates mature, sensitive and lacklustre complexions
Apply a generous coat of the gel to freshly cleansed skin.
Leave for 10 minutes, then rinse with cool water.
For an intensive treatment, refrigerate and apply a thin layer as your last layer of skin care and leave on overnight. Use 2-3 times a week or daily for intensive repair.

BLUE ALGAE MASK A best-selling gel face mask for dry and dehydrated skin types
Apply a generous coat on clean skin.
Allow mask to remain on for 10 minutes.
Rinse with cool water.
Thomas Roth Masks
They’re small enough to chuck into a sponge bag, so I’ll take them with me on holiday and try a few of them out.

I hadn’t thought about mixing up the masks to use on different problem areas, so I’ll see how that goes as well.
